Conference and Workshops: TECHNICAL CUSTOMER SERVICE WITH SAP

By Anonymous

Technical Customer Service is now a must for many industries. Meeting rising customer expectations is both crucial and can also be highly profitable – as long as you have qualified staff and the appropriate IT solution to help them work effectively in terms of cost and time. There are major challenges to meet: service calls, spare parts, contracts, customer installation history, returns, scheduling field engineers and last but not least tracking time and expenses to ensure profitability.

This conference is a unique opportunity to share the experiences of speakers from successful, well-known companies (Yorkshire Water, Siemens Medical Solutions, Schindler Elevators, Siemens Communication etc…), which are already using the world’s most successful business software from SAP to support their service related activities. You will also benefit from a best practice case study from abroad and be given “first-hand” information about the recent initiatives and the development strategy of SAP by a senior member of the Product Development Team.

If you have not yet had the opportunity to become familiar with the service management solution from SAP, we would highly recommend you to visit the one day pre-conference workshop to understand the basics. Those who would like to strengthen their knowledge on how to realise a successful SAP CS/SM implementation are recommended to attend the one day post-conference workshop on this topic.

Verbatim Conference Call Transcription Service is Launched Today

By Anonymous

September 21, 2004 -- Did you miss that important conference call? Is there no time to listen to the replay? Are you anxious to know what management said about your investment? If you have difficulty accessing live conference calls and webcasts, or have no time or patience to sit through them, you now have a way to access affordable word-for-word (verbatim) transcripts.

While investment professionals have easy access to these types of transcripts, retail investors in many cases have difficulty obtaining them, which gives investment professionals a distinct advantage over retail and small investors. This service aims to help level the playing field and to further the cause of full disclosure for the companies whose transcriptions are offered at no expense to those companies.

All transcripts offered by Verbatim are in printable and searchable Adobe Acrobat files (which can be downloaded free on the Verbatim web site). For just $4.95 you can have immediate access to a full word-for-word transcript. All you have to do is choose a company and click on the “Buy Button.” It’s that easy!

The first transcript being offered is the Eagle Broadband (AMEX: EAG) Shareholder Update Conference Call which was webcast on August 31, 2004. The webcast ran for about 1 hour and 5 minutes and included approximately 20 minutes of questions and answers from Dave Weisman, Eagle Chairman and CEO, and Randy Shapiro, Vice President of Marketing. This transcript is a must read for anyone interested in Eagle Broadband. Verbatim has no ties or affiliations with Eagle Broadband and has independently undertaken this transcription as an affordable service to interested parties.

Suggestions for new transcriptions will be accepted. The conference calls or webcasts receiving the most requests will be transcribed, interested parties will be notified through email, and the finished transcript will be offered on the Verbatim web site.

Verbatim Conference Call Transcription Service also offers traditional transcription services to companies and individuals at the affordable price of $75 per 15 minutes of tape.

Dr. Pardasani, an award-winning researcher and gerontologist, invited to speak at Michigan State Conference

By Anonymous

June 26, 2004 -- The theme of this years conference is: Michigan Senior Centers Working Together: Yours - Mine - and Ours.

The conference is scheduled to take place in Kalamazoo, Michigan from November 3rd through the 5th. Those interested in attending can contact Ms. Kelly Arndt, Conference Chair, Michigan Association of Senior Centers at karndt@ci.east-lansing.mi.us

The focus of the conference is on collaborative projects, marketing and image - and how we all effect how senior centers are viewed, not only within our communities but collectively within the state, and a few nuts and bolts offerings. Dr. Pardasani will present the findings of a study of senior centers, clubs, nutrition sites and Area Agencies on Aging conducted in New York State. Factors that influence programming decisions, issues related to the growing diversity of the US elderly and the efforts of senior centers to reach out to the widest cross-section of seniors will be highlighted and discussed.

Dr. Pardasani started his career in human services as the coordinator of summer camping for seniors at the Berkshire Hills Emanuel Camps.     In 1993, he began managing senior programs at a community center in the Bronx. As a participant in and observer of the significant role of senior centers and community-based agencies in the lives of the elderly, his interest was kindled in gerontological social work. He received his Master’s degree (MSW) in 1996 and a doctoral degree (PhD) in 2003, both from the Wurzweiler School of Social Work. Through his work, he became aware of the exponential growth and increasing heterogeneity of the elderly population and the need for addressing their diverse needs. Currently, he is working on designing Needs Assessment surveys to be used in urban and suburban neighborhoods to assess a community's need for services.

In addition, he has published articles related to senior centers, community practice, empowerment and HIV/AIDS in renowned, peer-reviewed Journals such as:
-Journal of Community Practice
-Activities, Adaptation and Aging
-Journal of Gerontological Social Work
-International Journal of Social Welfare
-Journal of HIV and Social Services

Those interested in learning more abour Dr. Pardasani's research can reach him at (914)715-8107 or email him at m_pardasani@hotmail.com
